I have noticed that life can bring some major whip lashes, one-second I am soaring high enjoying the view and the next my wing is clipped and I am plummeting to the ground. That is why I decided to start this blog to remember the flights I have landed and the ones where I fall. I know that the ones that crash and burn may be painful and hard to recover from but they help me to build my wings stronger for the next take off and make my safe landings even more meaningful.

The Nation's Capitol
For my first tripI decided to go to Washington DC. I went with a girl from work and we left Saturday morning and came home Sunday night. It was definately a short trip but so worth it! We walked through most of downtown and saw all of the monuments and sites. We were so worn out the entire trip and it made us so delirious! We laughed at everything, literally! It was so much fun. We got in this shuttle with this ornery man and "Love to Love Ya Baby" was playing in the car. The car was so quite and the guy was so mean that it made us need to laugh so badly! We had to look opposite ways because if we saw each others face we would burst out laughing. Well finally I just couldn't hold it in any longer and had to let my laugh out and we could not stop after that! The man hated us but there was nothing I could do! I was so embarrassed that I just told him, "sorry I am just so hungry!" It was the first excuse that popped into my head and it made us laugh even harder. When he finally pulled over we just ran as fast as we could. We took the metro everywhere and we saw a lot of interesting people and interesting things. Overall it was an such a good adventure and the perfect start to my new travel benefits.

Symbolism at its best
I have officially started my new job at Delta airlines. It took weeks to process background checks and security threat forms but I am finally training. It is so awesome! I have been through complete tours of the airport, I get to skip the lines at security, I get free parking for when I go on trips, and I get to eat lunch in the terminals! I am training for the ticket counter and the gates and it is really fun! There are break rooms and lockers so it makes me feel so grown up. I have yet to meet anyone who works there that I don't like, everyone is just so nice. I have a great training group of women that are so much fun to be around and work with. I know I am such a dork but I am seriously super excited to get uniforms. I have never had one before and it will be kind of cool! They look terrible though and I can't even wear my high heels to make them look any better. Today I got to help people with the kiosks and bag drop counters, it was super crazy but I loved it. The scary part I think will be working at the gates. Cancelled flights and overbooked planes terrify me! I am going to be working mornings in the D concourse so if you have a flight be sure to come say hi! Now I will be flying everywhere and my blog title will actually have another meaning to it!
