We needed to get out of the house and wanted to document our sweet little family at Grey's one month mark. We went up Little Cottonwood canyon and took some cheesy family pictures. I am so entirely blessed to have such sweet men in my life. I am the happiest I have ever been (but the most tired). Right now our main goals are getting the little one to sleep better at night and trying to find a place we can call home and raise our family. We will see how quickly that gets sorted out... but as of now I feel a little vampirish (sleeping during the day and playing during the night).
Grey is beginning to smile at us and make really good eye contact. He always wins in a staring contest. I swear I have heard him chuckle a couple of times and it is so darling. He loves the sound of our voices and I sing him a lullaby every night and Nate whistles songs to calm him down. We are figuring this parenting thing out slowly but it has sure been fun.
I have noticed that life can bring some major whip lashes, one-second I am soaring high enjoying the view and the next my wing is clipped and I am plummeting to the ground. That is why I decided to start this blog to remember the flights I have landed and the ones where I fall. I know that the ones that crash and burn may be painful and hard to recover from but they help me to build my wings stronger for the next take off and make my safe landings even more meaningful.

My Obsession
The past few weeks have been completely exhausting... Mostly because I just want to stare at my sweet little Grey all day and night long. He also doesn't like to sleep in the night just during the day. He is so sweet though and I couldn't have asked for a better baby. He is chunking up fast, already almost two pounds heavier and it is all in his cheeks and thighs (poor kid gets it from his mom). He has been kind of sick this week and he has been such a champ through it. It hurts me to see him hurt and it has definately been hard being a mom this week. He will be a month old on Sunday and I cannot believe how quickly the time goes. Ahh I love this boy so dang much and I am so lucky to have him in my life!
