A dream

Getting to live with my best friend for the past 11 months has been too much fun. I keep thinking real life will hit me in the face one day but it has yet to happen. I still feel like I am just playing house and that there is no way life can be so great. It scares me to say it out loud because I don't want anything to change. The truth is that I am perfectly happy and content and I don't know what I ever did to deserve it. You know when you have those dreams that you just want to keep sleeping so you can stay in them? Well, I don't have those anymore, at least they don't feel the same way they used to. Now I want to wake up to my life and stay awake as long as possible. I hope I can hang on to this dream as long as possible because it is a really really good one...

Baby Time and Another Mission Call

So yesterday I am just doing my homework like I usually am lately, when Debbie (mother-in-law) calls me to tell me that Erin (sister-in-law) had her baby! Oh and Pete (brother-in-law) got his mission call! What an eventful phone call right? So as soon as Nate got off work we booked it to the hospital. The whole time we were there I hogged the baby. She is sooo sweet and little that I never wanted to let go but we had a mission call to open!

So we had to run out the door for the next festivity. Pete was super excited about his call, his big smile in my video will show that. I was the only one crying my eyes out that he is leaving me for two years. After everything calmed down I said with big water droplets in my eyes "Am I the only one who is sad!?" He will be an amazing missionary and I will miss him way too much!
Concepcion Chile... it is WAY too far away for me.

#310

I promised back when we moved in to our apartment that I would put up pictures of it and forgot! Here is the place we like to call home and we love it sooooo much!

Nate's new love: Cake Boss

Yeah he has moved on from me to Buddy the Cake Boss. He loves it. We decided to try making cakes one night and our Aunt gave us the cake boss book and some left over fondant to play with. I made red velvet from scratch and it was delish! We made a funfetti for Nate to decorate and it turned out beautifully (see below). I was quite proud. Our house was covered in flour and sugar for weeks after our little baking adventure but it was so much fun! We didn't have enough fondant to cover the whole cake at once hence the cut pieces and the tie die hat thing. Nate did all the piping himself all I did was the mustache!

Hahaha so beautiful huh?

School is kicking my bum!

So have you wondered where I have been lately? Under a big fat pile of textbooks. Graduating next Spring is coming along slowly and it just seems to get harder and harder! Luckily for me I get one whole week off before the summer semester hits. Thanks for the big break U of U... this is sarcastic if you couldn't tell. But I am hanging in there because of my sweet husband, my family, and friends that keep encouraging me and pushing me along.

Nate took me out on a date the other night, we went to the Dragon Acrobats (I think that was what they were called) and it was a very scary nerve-racking show but it was so much fun. We got dessert at the Sweet Tooth Fairy (we love our cupcakes!) and had such a fun night together.

Easter was a ball! Nate set up an easter egg hunt in our apartment for me when I got home from work and made me a basket since it was my first year that my mom wouldn't be making me one (I am such a little princess I know).

We spent Easter at both of out parents and ate 2 easter meals, both of our moms cook way too yummy of things to turn them down.

My nephews got to have an easter egg hunt in my parents big back yard and ended up with hundreds of eggs. Loved the fun Easter this year!
